Search
Craigslist.org in your area for items you are looking for. There is a FREE section. Not always a 'daily deal' but so many times there are others out there getting rid of exactly what I'm looking for at highly discounted prices or free! Search CL first, it costs nothing to use. Great bargains over buying new and most prices are negotiable. And it's local, so you can just go pick your item up.

https://www.freecycle.org/ for freebies local to your area. It's hard to time it so that you actually can acquire something you need this way, as ppl are fast to react when items are posted. But it is a great place to re-cycle items you no longer need.
